How To Make A Photo Disappear, 2019

I explored the photograph as both an image and an object by photographing the remains of torn down posters. I then uploaded one of these images to Instagram again and again, each time adding the same default filter to the previous image. I deconstructed the damaged physical image further, digitally. I'm interested in how the image still exists as an object even though the image is no longer recognisable.

나는 허물어진 포스터의 잔해를 사진으로 찍어, 사진을 이미지와 물체를 탐색했다. 그리고 이 이미지들 중 하나를 인스타그램에 반복해서 업로드하며, 매번 이전 이미지와 동일한 기본 필터를 추가했다. 나는 손상된 물리적 이미지를 디지털 방식으로 더욱 해체했다. 이미지가 더 이상 인식되지 않는데도 어떻게 그 이미지가 여전히 물체로서 존재하는지에 관심이 있다.
